We fall in colours – May

This month, the We Fall in Colours team is featuring one of the new In Colors – Golden Glow, teaming it up with Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon, which are lovely shades of green/blue.

To make this card, emboss a mat of Lost Lagoon with the Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing folder. Adhere this to your Pretty Peacock card base.

Die cut the detailed flowers from Fragrant Layers die set from white cardstock. Then use the matching outline die to cut from Golden Glow cardstock – a new In Color™ coming in the May-Aug 2026 catalogue. Adhere this to the top of the white die cut.

Use the three different leaves die cut to cut from Pretty Peacock.

Adhere the floral image towards the top of the embossed panel using Dimensionals. I compared a stamp from the coordinating stamp set, Fragrant Layers Stamps, for the positioning of the leaves then glued these into position.

Stamp your sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink onto White card stock, then die cut using the Stylish Shapes die. You may need to ‘extend’ the die by running the die only half way through the Cut and Emboss machine, then move the die to where it needs to finish. Turn the piece around and place your plate on top, so that it only goes part way over the piece, then run through the machine again.

Die cut a piece the same size from Pretty Peacock, cut in half lengthways and adhere to the back of the sentiment piece so that a small edge shows at the top and bottom.

Finish off by adding three butterflies from the new 2026-2028 In Color™ Butterflies, from the new catalogue being released on Tuesday 5th May.

For the inside, stamp a single flower outline in Golden Glow, then the fill-in stamp with the Golden Glow ink stamped off once.
