This month, the Let’s Craft Together team has a background challenge. The instructions were – show us how you make the background of your cards more interesting. You can use anything you like – embossing, tone-on-tone stamping, scoring, splatter, smooshing, weaving strips or surprise us with a new idea!

This card has been made by stamping tone-on-tone with an outline stamp from the new Boutique Blossoms bundle. By stamping the image multiple times, this breaks up the plain background. This is Calypso Coral cardstock, stamped with Calypso Coral ink.

Next, the same image was stamped on Basic White cardstock and the infill stamp used, stamped off once. Stamp the leaves were stamped in the same was in Garden Green, then the floral image and the leaves were die cut.

A piece of Strawberry Slush ribbon (about to be retired) was added under the floral focus piece. And, of course, no card is complete without a little bling, in the form of three Rhinestones.

The inside has been kept simple, with just a single outline floral stamp added to the bottom right of the inside mat.
