Reversing your embossing folder

Handmade card using the reverse side of the Metal Plate 3D embossing folder

I was using the Metal Plate 3D embossing folder on some cardstock recently. When I turned the cardstock over to add the adhesive, I really liked the softer effect the embossing folder gave. So then of course I had to create a card using that softer side!

I’ve done the embossing on Pale Papaya cardstock. I adhered this to a mat of Basic Grey, then onto a card base of Smoky Slate. The ovals were cut using the Framed Florets dies – I love the lines on the outer frame. The flowers are from the Decorative Borders stamp set, coloured with Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent Blends then fussy cut.

Of course then it needed some embellishments – I used some from the Classic Matte Dots to complete my card.

Happy crafting!
