Watercolour World rainbow card

Rainbow coloured map of the world on a handmade card

Sorry its been a while since I’ve posted here – I’ve been away on a several times delayed holiday (thanks to CoVid) to Egypt, Jordan and Israel, followed by a stop over in Dubai on the way home. I’ve been wanting to see the pyramids for years – thinking of how hard it must have been to construct them so many hundreds of years ago is mind-boggling!

Before I left, I also helped my younger daughter pack up to move to the Netherlands for six months to study. I don’t think I’d ever have been brave enough to move to the other side of the world by myself. She is studying GeoSpatial Science, which involves a lot of mapping and only has this six months to go to finish.

I made this card to give her when she left. It uses the Watercolour World stamp set which I thought was perfect for this.

I used my Stamparatus to layer the colours on one at a time, then covered the whole stamp with Versamark so that I could add clear embossing powder over the top which made the colours pop more.

I used the Alphabet A La Mode dies for the letters.

I was really pleased with how the card turned out.

Happy crafting
