Lattice strip card with Cheerful Daisies

White lattice strip card with three yellow daisies

Last month I went on another craft retreat with my fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators to Maldon. We always create ‘shoebox swaps’ where we create a card, then make kits so that everyone there can recreate the card.

This is the card I made. I’d seen a few of the lattice strip cards appearing on Pinterest so decided to make one. Of course, any instructions I found were all to suit the card size used in America. So, I worked out (in metric sizing) a card that will fit the Australian C6 envelope.

Once I had created the lattice base, I then had to decorate it. I stamped the small flower from the Cheerful Daisies bundle in Lolly Lemon ink, then the centre with Daffodil Delight.

Next, I used a blender pen to pick up some ink from the Daffodil Delight ink pad to draw a darker section on the base of the petals, from the centre outwards. This gives a lovely depth to the flower.

I cut two of the sprigs from Garden Green cardstock and attached them to the card base, then attached two of the daisies flat to the card front, with the third one on dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped in Garden Green, and die cut. I then cut the same die in Garden Green, cut it in half horizontally and attached it so that it showed at the top and bottom. This is a great way to border your dies if you don’t have a larger die to match.

Happy crafting!
