This month for our Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop, we have a colour and/or image challenge. You can use some, or all of the colours, or just use the photo as your inspiration.

When I have a colour challenge, I often reach for the Layers of Beauty bundle, as it is so easy to use and you can use several colours.

First, stamp the large image using Memento Black.

Pretty in Pink ink was used with my blending brush for the roses on the Masks 1 & 2, then I snuck some Flirty Flamingo in for Mask 3.  For the tiny daisies, I used Gorgeous Grape on a dauber. It wasn’t till I’d done the centres of the daisies in the Gorgeous Grape that I realised I should have used Lemon Lolly! Embellishments to the rescue – I used my dark Lemon Lolly Blend to colour five rhinestones and popped them in the centres of the daisies!

For the leaves, I did Mask 4 in the Garden Green, then Mask 5 in the Shaded Spruce, thinking it might look strange, but I’m quite pleased with the result. Next, die cut the image, taking care to line up the edges – mine slipped a little so needed a second run through so some of the edges are thinner than normal. But if any one notices, I proudly tell them – It’s handmade!

I embossed a piece of Basic White cardstock using the Beautiful Pattern 3D embossing folder and adhered this to my Pretty in Pink card base.

I used mini Dimensionals to adhere the floral die cut, leaving space for my sentiment. The banner die is from Stylish Shapes dies, cut from Lemon Lolly cardstock. It has been stamped with a sentiment from the Delicate Whispers stamp set, using Gorgeous Grape ink. This was also adhered using mini Dimensionals.

Of course, I couldn’t leave the inside blank so stamped just a small section of the large image, and used the same colours to finish this off.

Happy crafting!
