Handmade double swing fold card with floral papers and stamped images

It’s time for another Fun/Fancy Fold card blog hop! Last month I went to the Stampin’ Up! convention, OnStage, in Sydney. I was part of an organised fun fold swap and got this cute card from Frances Searle. She got the instructions from Carey’s Creative Table.

I loved it so much I had to make my own version. I’ve used the Garden Poetry Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack and the Paradise Garden bundle to create my card. I’ve used Blackberry Bliss as my card base.

It’s hard to show you how the double swing part works in photos. The first photo is of the front of the card folded, ready for mailing, and the photo under that shows the back.

Behind the two flower panels is actually the panel showing in the middle of the bottom open card. When you open the card, the two outer panels swing around.

The second photo shows the card fully extended (top – front, bottom – back).

The third photos show the card partially open, so the swing has begun.

If you would like to have a go at making this card, I have created this template to help you with measurements. The solid lines are Cut lines, and the dotted are Score lines.
