Let’s Craft Together – Old meets new

Handmade card featuring three trees, the centre one with gold stars

Thank you for joining us for the Let’s Craft Together blog hop. We are a group of multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting. Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month’s challenge is “Old Meets New” and was set by Nancy Hoetker. Our brief – use products from your stash (maybe ones that are feeling a bit neglected) and create something new and on trend by combining it with a select few new items.

I have used Country Woods DSP (which came out in last years catalogue) and the Everyday Arches dies (Online Exclusives) and paired them with the new Pine Tree Trimmings bundle.

I cut Old Olive cardstock using a die from the Everyday Arches die set. The centre tree was stamped with Versamark, gold embossing powder added then heat set before being die cut. The two green trees were stamped using Mossy Meadow then die cut. I adhered the two green trees directly to the arched mat, and the gold embossed tree using Dimensionals.

The greeting is gold embossed onto Early Espresso cardstock and die cut using the Stylish Shapes dies. I also adhered this using Dimensionals.

The three stars were cut from gold foil using a die from the Peace on Earth bundle.

Make sure you hop all the way around and see the inspiration that everyone has shared, and don’t forget to leave a comment. We all love to get comments on our projects.

Happy crafting
Sharni
