This month it was my turn to set the challenge for the Let’s Craft Together team. I decided rather than limiting the team to Valentine’s Day, to make the theme RED. They can also add black, white, silver and gold.

My husband doesn’t like to celebrate Valentine’s Day – he thinks its way too commercialised. But we do celebrate our wedding anniversary a few days before, so I decided to make an anniversary card for him.
I have used the Hearts of Love 3D embossing folder for the background. Then I have used the Endless Love bundle for the heart dies and the sentiment stamp. These are all in the Made with Love suite, which also includes some lovely papers, ribbon, treat bags and loose embellishments.

To create the red and black hearts, you will need to die cut them twice – once in Real Red and once in Basic Black for each heart. I covered the back of the red die cut with double sided tape and put the matching black pieces into the gaps (the same technique as the card in my last post).

The Hugs & Kisses sentiment has been stamped in Real Red ink and die cut using the banner die from Stylish Shapes dies. I then cut the same banner die from Real Red cardstock, cut it in half and adhered behind the sentiment piece, with the ends showing. This was attached using mini Dimensionals.
I have adhered the embossed mat to a Basic Black mat, then onto a Real Red cardbase.

For the inside, I have stamped the bunch of hearts and the sentiment in Real Red. The Happy Anniversary sentiment is from the Layers of Beauty stamp set.

Happy crafting
