Thank you for visiting me for the Ink & Inspiration blog hop for this month. The colour challenge is actually taken from a photo I took of a sunset at a lake my family has been going to for over 30 years. This one was taken over the Christmas/New Year break.

To create my card, I have used the new Fragrant Layers dies. Cut Fresh Freesia, Pretty in Pink and Lemon Lolly cardstock using the rectangular die. Then cut the same die from Misty Moonlight and trim to leave a border. From a mat of Balmy Blue, cut the same die towards the top of the mat. Run this through the Exposed Brick embossing folder.
To hold all the pieces in, I used double sided tape behind all the areas I needed to fill.

I then used the putty end of my Take your pick to lift each piece and pop it into the correct gap. If you decide to try this, make sure your loose pieces stay arranged as they’ve come out of the die. I used Press & Seal to lift my pieces from the die cut so I knew exactly where they needed to go in the image being built.
Once the entire image has been pieced together, glue was added to the exposed areas of Misty Moonlight on the back of the image. This was then adhered over the matching die cut on the Balmy Blue mat.
A mat of Basic White, 0.5cm smaller than the Misty Moonlight mat was adhered to the Misty Moonlight card base, then the Balmy Blue mat with image attached was adhered using Dimensionals, making sure there was plenty of support under the floral images.

Stamp the sentiment from the Fragrant Layers stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink onto a Basic White rectangle, then mat onto a slightly larger piece of Misty Moonlight. Adhere under the floral image.
For the inside, I kept it very simple and stamped a single flower in Misty Moonlight, then filled it in with Pretty in Pink ink

I had a lot of fun making this card (I’ve already done two more). It is quite fiddly but I think worth the effort.
