Welcome to the February blog hop for the Stampin’ Up! Product of the Month – Painted Illusions Designer Series Paper.

This craft paper features soft watercolour gradients in pink, green, blue, teal, and yellow, with white patterns that flow over the background. Colours included are Darling Duckling, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Lost Lagoon, Misty Moonlight, Petal Pink, and Pretty Peacock.

Painted Illusions printed Paper

To create my card, you will need two 6.5 x 6.5cm squares from one design, and two 2.5 x 6.5cm strips from another design. Adhere these as shown above onto a 10.5 x 14.4cm Basic White mat, then onto a 21.0 x 14.9cm Flirty Flamingo card base, scored at 10.5cm.

For the centre piece, stamp one of the lined images from the Pretty Florals stamp set in Flirty Flamingo. Then die-cut these using the matching die. Die cut the stem from Darling Duckling cardstock. Die cut a square from Flirty Flamingo cardstock using the Stylish Shapes dies. Adhere the flowers to the stem, then used Mini Dimensionals to adhere this to the square.

The sentiment is from the Fragrant Layers stamp set. Stamp in Flirty Flamingo then die cut using the small banner die from the Stylish Shapes die set.

You are also getting a sneak peek of a new Online Exclusive being released next month. I have used three Flirty Flamingo embellishments from the Garden Epoxy Dots pack to finish my card front.

Inside of a handmade card, with a small strip of printed paper near the bottom, and a stamped single flower

For the inside, I have used a 0.5cm strip of the same paper as the smaller strips on the front, plus stamped and die cut a single flower. I have stamped off the solid image and used full strength for the lines.

Don’t forget to hop around through the links below for more ideas on how to use this colourful paper pack.
