If you haven’t seen our chain card swap blogs before, Tracy Held decided to organise a group of Australian Stampin’ Up! demonstrators for a fun card swap idea. Each member in the group creates an original card, then sends it on to the next person on their list. They then have to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) this card, then send it on. The sending lists are random, so you are not sending to the same person each time. Once the card has been to everyone, it goes back to the designer – who may not even recognise it as their own design! Once the round is completely finished, we can blog about the cards, with each blog hop following one of the cards from the original design to what was sent back to the designer. This is the fifth series we have completed – I love the challenge of making each design my own!
For our fourth blog hop for this series, we are following Carolina’s card. I was the sixth in this round. To see the progression of each card, I suggest you start at the top of the list of links below my post (if you haven’t already).
This card was created using masking paper. It was torn to form these jagged lines on each side, then placed on a piece of Basic White cardstock. For my card, I used stamps from the Turtle-y Awesome stamp set. I used Secret Sea ink to stamp the images, then used Balmy Blue with a Blending Brush over the exposed cardstock. I then removed the masking paper to stamp the Birthday wishes sentiment, from the Simply Said stamp set, in Secret Sea.
The balloons are also from the Turtle-y Awesome stamp set, and were stamped in Secret Sea, then die-cut using the balloon from the Turtle-y Awesome dies.

This was then adhered to a mat of Secret Sea, then a card base of Balmy Blue.
I used the same masking paper to add the same details to the top and bottom of my mat for inside my card. I added a mat of Secret Sea to keep the same effect as the front of the card. The sentiment, stamped in Secret Sea ink, is also from the Simply Said stamp set.

Please start at the top if you haven’t done so, or continue on through the links to see the progression of Carolina’s card.
Happy crafting

Love the simplicity of the repeated design.
This is such a fun take on the card Sharni. All those little notes make me smile.
Awesome CASE Sharni, love the Balloons to break up the imagery.
