If you haven’t seen our chain card swap blogs before, Tracy Held decided to organise a group of Australian Stampin’ Up! demonstrators for a fun card swap idea. Each member in the group creates an original card, then sends it on to the next person on their list. They then have to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) this card, then send it on. The sending lists are random, so you are not sending to the same person each time. Once the card has been to everyone, it goes back to the designer – who may not even recognise it as their own design! Once the round is completely finished, we can blog about the cards, with each blog hop following one of the cards from the original design to what was sent back to the designer. This is the fifth series we have completed – I love the challenge of making each design my own!
For our third blog hop for this series, we are following Tracy’s card. I was the last in this round so this card went back to Tracy. To see the progression of each card, I suggest you start at the top of the list of links below my post (if you haven’t already).
This type of card is known as a book fold card due to the ‘spine’ down the edge of the card. The remaining flap has been cut diagonally, from top left to bottom right. A square mat was then added to this, with the corners lining up with the diagonals.
This card uses papers from the Turtle-y Cute DSP pack. The feature image was fussy cut from one of the pieces from this pack. The card base is Crushed Curry, with Real Red for the mats.

I used a die from the Spotlight on Nature die set for the circle behind my feature image. I felt that the slits matched the piano accordion. The sentiment on the front is from the matching stamp set, Turtle-y Awesome stamped in Garden Green. I have coloured three small rhinestones with my dark Real Red Blend to add some bling.

For the inside, images and a sentiment from the same stamp set have been used. the cake was stamped using Crushed Curry, then coloured using Lemon Lolly. Pumpkin Pie was used for the flames on the candles, and Real Red for the plate. A small strip of matching paper has been added to the left side to tie the card together.
While this is the last card in this round, if you haven’t seen the rest, please start at the top of the list below to see Tracy’s card and it’s progression.
Happy crafting!

How good does that circle die look with the details in the accordion – that’s an inspired choice!
Such an awesome card! Love the additional strip of DSP to the inside flap
