Shoebox swap card using Bee My Valentine bundle

Card using the Bee My Valentine bundle

I’ve been away again with a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators to a craft retreat in Maldon, which we do twice a year. We always have such a great time together. Each time we go, we do a shoebox swap to get us started. This is the card I created, using the new Bee My Valentine bundle which will be released in the new Jan-Apr 2024 Mini catalogue. I was able to get access to it early as it was the bundle we used during our demonstrator online event.

As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to make a honeycomb hive look for the bees. I used a die from the Something Fancy die set to cut the hexagons from Crushed Curry cardstock. The bees are stamped with Crushed Curry ink then Memento Black before punching them out. I stamped the wings using Pool Party ink, then punched them out. I also punched out two more wings from vellum and adhered these over the Pool Party wings before attaching them.

I’m really pleased with how the card turned out.

Happy Crafting
