It’s time for another Fun/Fancy fold card! This month I’m showing you an upcoming Online Exclusive bundle, which is being released next month. It’s called Capturing Smiles and is perfect for crafting for photographers, either for a card, or for a scrapbook layout. I knew when I saw it that I wanted to make an shutter card – seemed like the perfect card to make!

I found a very easy tutorial on YouTube by Srushti Patil which you can see here. It is all in metric (my apologies to the imperial crafters).

On the front, I have used paper from this month’s Product of the Month, Painted Illusions DSP. In Australia, you can purchase this for just $9 AUD when you place an order for $125 or more during February. The words I have used are all separate stamps in the set. I also used the small image of a camera, stamped in Memento Black and die cut, on the front (to hide a smudge – shhhh). For the base, Summer Splash cardstock was used. This is one of the 2024-2026 In Colors which will be retiring at the end of April.

The shutter is hidden inside – as you start to open the card, you will see the ‘shutter’ begin to open. I have used Smoky Slate for my shutter pieces.

As you continue to open the card, the aperture widens.

Here it is open, showing more of the cute filmstrip die cut and stamped and coloured images behind the ‘shutter’. I randomly stamped the camera image onto the covering white cardstock.

On the back, I stamped another of the camera image on the bottom right.
