Welcome to the Stamping Green and my post for this month’s We fall in colours blog hop. Usually I look at the colours and try to work out which stamp set to use, but this time, I’d been making a card for my Chain swap challenge using DSP, and my friend suggested I use the same layout, but with cardstock. The squares were cut using the second smallest square die in the Stylish Shapes dies. I then embossed each colour with a different embossing folder, using Swirls of Magic on the Crushed Curry cardstock, Paradise Garden on the Pool Party, and Lazy Daisy on Calypso Coral.
I wanted to get the top and bottom layers the same height, so had to trim them to a height of 3cm. The skinnier pieces are 2 cm wide. I then alternated the Pool Party and the Crushed Curry pieces on each side, keeping the Calypso Coral pieces in the middle.
The vellum mat under the sentiment has been cut using a circle die from the Stylish Shapes die set, then hot foiled in gold with the Botanical Glow hot foil die. The sentiment, from the Lily of the Valley stamp set, has been stamped in Calypso Coral.

I used some offcuts along the bottom of the writing panel inside to tie it to the front of the card (yes, I know it’s not quite straight- shows it’s handmade I guess)

Hello Sharni,
it’s a lovely idea to combine the individual colors this way.
The various embossings really enhance the look – a beautiful card.
Warm regards Form Germany

I love your card! It reminds me of the bricks my children used to play with years before now.
Great artwork with three different folders and the hot foil element is so beautiful!
Thanks for that inspiration and greetings from Germany
