Touches of Ink blog hop – July 2026

Handmade card featuring a silhouette of a yacht in a circle, with a sunset on the printed paper behind

Banner for a blog hop team called Touches of Ink. Big pink blotch, smaller yellow-green colour on left. White feather in centre

Thank you for visiting my blog today for this month’s Touches of Ink Blog Hop!  We can choose any suite or bundle currently available from Stampin’ Up! I have used the Scenic Coast Suite, which includes the Sunset Coast bundle, and the gorgeous Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper pack.

Showing two photos - one of the Scenic Coast bundle and the other of the coordinating printed paper

I have die cut the yacht silhouette from a piece of Night of Navy cardstock, which is a centimetre smaller than the piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP). When die cutting, make sure to line up the die so that the line of the water will be positioned over the line of the water on the paper. The base of the card is also Night of Navy cardstock. The die cut has been attached using quite a few mini Dimensionals (can’t have a sagging card front).

Die cut the three birds from Night of Navy and from Lemon Lolly cardstock. Adhere these slightly offset to create a shadow effect, then adhere above the circle.

The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto a strip of Balmy Blue, then adhered to a slightly longer strip of Lemon Lolly, both flagged on the right and slightly offset to match the birds. Cut several pieces of the net die from Night of Navy and adhere under the yacht image. Adhere the sentiment so that the left edge lines up with the edge of the yacht die cut piece.

On the inside, layer a mat of Lemon Lolly, then a mat of Basic White. Adhere part of a net die cut to the bottom left.
