We’ve just finished Series 6 of our Chain Card Swap so it’s time to show you how each ‘chain’ progressed. The Chain Card Swap came about when Tracy Held decided it would be interesting to see if a card would change much from the original if it was sent to a chain of people. Each chain is different so we don’t get cards from the same person in each round, and we don’t send to the same person either.
It starts off with us all creating a card and sending it on to the first person in our list. That person then gets to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) that card then send their version on to the next person in their list, and it continues till the last person sends their card back to the original creator. Some cards don’t change much from start to finish; others are totally different.
The best way to view the progression is to go to the first person in the links below then follow through each step of the chain.
The first chain we are following is from Nancy. I was second in the chain so here is the card I received from her –

I have kept the Z-fold style of her card, but changed the feature piece from a circle to a rectangle to enable me to use a printed piece from the Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. The leaves have been die cut using a die from the Nature’s Symphony set from Secret Sea cardstock, to match the leaves in the image on the paper.
The card base is Crumb Cake, with matts of Secret Sea, under DSP also from the same pack.
Here is my card fully closed, ready for posting (sorry about the weird lighting – I took them outside hoping for better lighting).

And here it is fully open

Inside, the sentiment I have used is from the Paradise Garden stamp set, stamped in Old Olive.
If you haven’t already seen Nancy’s post, make sure to go to the first link below, then follow her design’s progress through each step in the chain.
Don’t forget to leave us a comment – we love hearing what you think of our creations.
Happy crafting
