Welcome to the seventh blog hop in our second series for our Card Swap Chain.

A group of Australian Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators formed a group to create cards and swap them in a process like a chain letter (although I’ve called it Chinese Whispers cards). The first card in each sequence is an original idea. For this blog hop, Tracy created her card and posted it to the next in the list. Then that person CASEd (Copy And Selectively Edit) it and mailed her card to the next person on the list. This person then cased her card … and so on!

This has been a lot of fun and a great challenge for me to CASE the cards I was sent. You can see the first card from this chain, created by Tracy, by clicking on the first link in the list below, and follow its progression through to the end. Mine was the last in the chain.

This is the card I was sent from Ros:-

Hand made card - yellow base with lemons printed on paper as the feature

This card had a strip from the front cut off so you can see the paper on the inside.

I used the same embossing folder, Exposed Brick, on Boho Blue cardstock for the main mat.  I splattered this with ink from my Night of Navy marker. The flower images are from the Flowers of Beauty bundle, with the outline stamped in Night of Navy ink, and the filled in section in Boho Blue. I stamped the leaf images onto Misty Moonlight cardstock using Night of Navy ink then die cut them. The paper strip showing on the right hand side is from the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper pack. Of course, no card is complete without a little bling – three Basic Rhinestones.

The inside of the card was also splattered with the Night of Navy ink and I adhered part of another flower and leaf to tie it in with the front of the card.

Inside a handmade card. Navy base with white mat and a strip of printed blue paper down the right edge of the card.

  1. From bright yellows to peaceful blues – such a transformation in tone but the design is still shining through.
