Series 2 Card Swap Chain – following Ros’s card

Handmade card with navy blue printed paper , a white card stock circle and a pail with flowers in the pail

Colourful banner with the words Card Swap Chain and a linked chain under the words

Welcome to the fifth blog hop in our second series for our Card Swap Chain.

A group of Australian Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators formed a group to create cards and swap them in a process like a chain letter (although I’ve called it Chinese Whispers cards). The first card in each sequence is an original idea. For this blog hop, Ros created her card and posted it to the next in the list. Then that person CASEd (Copy And Selectively Edit) it and mailed her card to the next person on the list. This person then cased her card … and so on!

This has been a lot of fun and a great challenge for me to CASE the cards I was sent. You can see the first card from this chain, created by Ros, by clicking on the first link in the list below, and follow its progression through to the end. Mine was the sixth in the chain.

This is the card I was sent from Tracy:-

Hand made card with a pink base. Pink butterfly flying above pink flowers

How did she guess my favourite Stampin’ Up! colour is Petunia Pink? Such a gorgeous card.

This time, I’ve moved away from Petunia Pink, but used a bundle I’ve featured before, Country Flowers. The paper is from the Country Lace Designer Series Paper pack. Once again, I have used my Blends to colour the image of the pail with shading, and the bunch of flowers. I have adhered the pail flat onto the circle cut using the Spotlight on Nature dies, then the flowers are on Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Layering Leaves stamp set. I have heat embossed in white on Night of Navy then fussy cut the sentiment out.

Inside of a handmade card, with a strip of navy blue printed paper and a diecut bunch of navy blue leaves

For the inside, I used a small strip of the same DSP then popped a Night of Navy die cut of leaves from the Countryside Flowers dies on the bottom right hand corner.

Next, its time for you to follow on with the blog hop by clicking the next link below. Don’t forget to leave a comment – we love to hear from you.
