Welcome to the eighth blog hop in our second series for our Card Swap Chain.
A group of Australian Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators formed a group to create cards and swap them in a process like a chain letter (although I’ve called it Chinese Whispers cards). The first card in each sequence is an original idea. For this blog hop, Annette created her card and posted it to the next in the list. Then that person CASEd (Copy And Selectively Edit) it and mailed her card to the next person on the list. This person then cased her card … and so on!
This has been a lot of fun and a great challenge for me to CASE the cards I was sent. You can see the first card from this chain, created by Annette, by clicking on the first link in the list below, and follow its progression through to the end. Mine was the fourth in the chain.
This is the card I was sent from Carolina:-
This card had a strip from the front cut off and the panel on the back was scored. A die cut adhered to the back panel closes over the front panel to keep it closed.
I decided to use paper from the Full of Life Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack for my card. Melon Mambo cardstock was used for the base, then a mat of Crushed Curry cardstock under the DSP. I stamped the DSP with a crosshatch stamp from the Spotlight on Nature bundle. I used the Deckled Rectangle dies to cut a smaller mat from another piece of DSP from the same pack.
I stamped the flower image from Spotlight on Nature, coloured it in with Melon Mambo Blends for the flowers and Granny Apple Green Blends on the leaves then fussy cut this image out. It was adhered to the mat using Dimensionals. The two circles were cut using dies from the Spotlight on Nature bundle.
The sentiment on the front was from the same Spotlight on Nature Bundle as well.
Here you can see how the card looks when open. The back flap bends back to allow you to open the card.
The mat on the inside of the card was also stamped using the cross hatch stamp in various colours to match the DSP.
Next, its time for you to follow on with the blog hop by clicking the next link below. Don’t forget to leave a comment – we love to hear from you.
Happy crafting

This card makes me happy. A lovely colourful feminine take on the card you received in the chain.
