Safari Smile card – July 2026 Let’s Craft Together

a banner with Let's craft together blog hop text, and a pink and blue background

Thank you for visiting my blog for this month’s Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop. This month, we have a Tic Tac Toe challenge set by Annette. I have highlighted the row I chose to use, then realised later that my card also fits the left column.

Tic Tac Toe board with suggestions for card making

I have used the Safari Smiles stamp set for the focal point of my card. Such a cute lion family! The male has been coloured using Daffodil Delight Blends, with some Darling Duckling in the mane. The mother was coloured using Lemon Lolly, and the cub with Golden Glow. Light Cajun Craze was used for the tips of their noses.

The layout is actually CASEd from a shoebox swap I did at a recent craft retreat, by the lovely Jacinta Ryan-Jasper. I loved how effective the simplicity of her design was – one strip of DSP, and two small strips of cardstock, behind a focal point.

The sentiment is from the Sunset Coast stamp set, and has been stamped with Peaceful Pine ink.

The paper is from the Moonlight Flora Designer Series Paper (DSP), and the card base is one of the new 2026-2028 In Colors® Peaceful Pine. The white circle was die cut using a die from Spotlight on Nature dies, and the Peaceful Pine was die cut using a Stylish Shapes circle die.

To finish the front of the card, three Rhinestone Basic Jewels were coloured using the dark Golden Glow Blend, before being adhered under the flagged DSP.

I have kept the inside of the card very simple, using a left over piece of the DSP used on the front across the bottom of my writing mat.

Happy crafting
