Welcome to my post for the Let’s Craft Together Blog hop. This month’s challenge was to create something pretty for Mother’s Day. In Australia, Mother’s Day is in May so this is a timely challenge for us. My mother is a keen gardener so I always end up making her a card with flowers on it.
I have used the Memorable Blooms bundle again – I am so sad that it is retiring at the end of next month. I have used it for so many projects.
I stamped the sprig of flowers in Tuxedo Black Memento ink then coloured the flowers using the Daffodil Delight Blends combo pack, and the leaves with the Old Olive Blends combo pack. The octagonal shape was cut from my Basic White mat, then I ran the mat through the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder. I used Lemon Lolly ink on the Painted Stripes stamp to stamp on the octagonal shape.
Using the mat as a guide, I adhered the octagonal shape into place on the Lemon Lolly card base. I used mini Dimensionals to raise the mat, then attached the floral sprig with glue where it touched the white mat, and Dimensionals where it touched the die cut stamped shape.
The sentiment is also from the Memorable Blooms stamp set. I’ve stamped it using Old Olive and die cut with a die from the Stylish Shapes die set. I adhered this using Dimensionals as well.
To finish off the front, I added three of the cute Tiny Bee trinkets.
Inside, I stamped the smaller floral image and coloured with the same Blends as above, before adhering the mat to the inside of the card.

Happy Crafting

So pretty. I’m not normally a fan of yellow but the lemon lolly has me changing my mind. It is so fresh and the stamped lines in the background look great.
Beautiful card Sharni.
Love this card!
