This month, the challenge for the Let’s Craft together blog hop team is Animal Kingdom.

Six photos - top left monkey, top right, corgi, middle left ginger cat, middle right zebra, bottom left - yellow chicks, bottom right - comws
While the only current set I have with animals is the Turtle-y Awesome bundle, I was lucky enough to be crafting with a friend last week who has the new Cutest Crew bundle, released this month in the Online Exclusives (a perk of being a demonstrator is that you get to order during the month prior to new releases, except for the Product of the Month).

I was actually making this card for another group I’m in, a card chain swap, so was CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) a card that had been sent to me. Once all the cards have gone around to everyone, we will be blogging about each one, so this card will be making another appearance later.

The card base is Crumb Cake, which has been stamped with a cute paw stamp around the edge, also in Crumb Cake. Three pieces of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Mixed Up Patterns pack have been adhered to a mat of Mossy Meadow. A strip of Crumb Cake cardstock has been run through the Lovely Stripes 3D embossing folder. I then trimmed this to leave lines on the edges with two in the middle to give the illusion of three strips.

The three circles have been die-cut from Old Olive cardstock, using the wonderful Stylish Shapes dies (yes, a favourite of mine). I have die cut the three different cat dies from Basic Black, Basic Beige, and Crumb Cake cardstock.

I have finished off with a bow of twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials pack.

For the inside, I used a mat of Basic Beige cardstock. This was stamped with a sentiment from the same bundle in Crumb Cake ink. A strip of Basic Beige was used to cut the paw prints die, then layered over a strip of Crumb Cake.
