Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Sharni Green from Australia.
This month, our challenge is based on this photo.
We can use the image as a prompt, the colours, or both, to create our project. I wanted to copy the layout, with an image higher on the right of the card, then decided to also include the colours in the photo. When I’ve done colour challenges before, I haven’t been able to include them all but this time I have!
The Balmy Blue background is actually a sneak peak at some new Designer Series Paper being released in the upcoming Jan-Apr 2025 Mini Catalogue. It’s called Beautiful Bokeh DSP. I’ve used the Playing in the Rain set for the images and dies. I’ve coloured the fox fur using my Pecan Pie Blends, his hat and coat with Shaded Spruce (Stampin’ Up! don’t have Garden Green Blends), and his umbrella with the light and dark Calypso Coral Blends.
The bridge is die cut from Pebbled Path cardstock and raised on Dimensionals (I had to cut them to fit behind the tiny struts). The grass is die cut from Garden Green cardstock and the ‘dirt’ is Crumb Cake, stamped with Pecan Pie ink using a stamp from the Surfing Santa stamp set. The flower images were stamped using Memento onto Basic White cardstock, then coloured with Shaded Spruce and Calypso Coral Blends. I then used Crumb Cake and Balmy Blue Blends to fill in the remaining white sections so that they blended in with the background. The sentiment was stamped using Pebbled Path ink.
I had a lot of fun creating this card.
Now its time to pop along to the next person on the list below to see what they’ve created. Don’t forget to hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my card.
Happy Crafting
