Ink & Inspiration Colour challenge

Banner for Ink & Inspiration blog hop with bright blotchy colurs

It’s time for another Ink & Inspiration blog hop! This month we have an inspirational image and color challenge, you can use either part to create your project i.e:

INK – use the color challenge to create a project unrelated to the image – {there are 6 colors for the color challenge – you may use some or all colors plus the Stampin’ Up! Basics Colors (Basic Beige, Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black)}
INSPIRATION – use the image subject as inspiration for your project any way you can tie them together is fine
or if you are feeling super creative, use BOTH.

This is the prompt we were given:

I was able to use all the colours listed for my card. I have used the Festive Friends bundle (it’s been getting a workout this month as I’ve been making my Christmas cards).

Santa of course had to be in red so I used the Cherry Cobbler Blends for him. I also used it for the trim on the cute little elf.

Since we don’t have Garden Green Blends, I’ve coloured the elf using the Mossy Meadow Blends.

I’ve managed to include the Garden Green by die-cutting two of the trees from Garden Green cardstock, and the other is in Blackberry Bliss.

I’ve managed to get the Crushed Curry in for the elf’s hair. Night of Navy ink was used with a blending brush on the white mat. I have stamped the greeting using Night of Navy ink and put it all on a card base of Night of Navy.

A fellow demonstrator, Genna Gifford, showed me how she uses a light Smoky Slate Blend to create shadows, giving the images extra dimension.

For the inside, I used Night of Navy with a blending brush and adhered a Blackberry Bliss tree die cut.

Now it’s time to see what the rest of the Ink & Inspiration team have done with this challenge, so click along through the links below.

Happy crafting
