Ink & Inspiration blog hop – July 2026 colour challenge

Welcome to the Stamping Green for my post in the Ink and Inspiration blog hop. This month, we have a colour challenge, using a photo that one of my friends took.

I ended up making two cards for this challenge, because I just wasn’t happy with the first card I made. It had all the colours, but wasn’t a good representation of my normal card making. Have you made cards that just didn’t feel right?

Two days later, I ended up making this card, which I am much happier with. I used an image from the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP). I coloured it using my Real Red, Lemon Lime Twist and Azure Afternoon Blends. As Stampin’ Up! don’t have Garden Green Blends, I used my Blender pen to pick up some ink and add it as shadows on the leaves.

I then fussy-cut the image out and adhered it to my die cut from the Flourishes & Frames hot foil bundle – I’ve loving the new hot foil system Stampin’ Up! has recently released! I also hot foiled my sentiment, using the Sweetly Sentimental hot foil bundle shows images of two hot foil die set - Flourishes and Frames, and Sweetly Sentimental

I have placed this all on a Real Red mat that has been embossed using the Lovely Stripes 3D embossing folder, then adhered that to a card base of Basic Black.

Inside, I have used a small strip of DSP from the same pack, layered over a 1cm strip of Real Red, on my writing mat.

Thanks for visiting me – now its time to hop on over to the next on the list below.
