Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Sharni Green from Melbourne, Australia.
This is the prompt we were given for this month’s challenge.
We could use either the colours (any or all) or the photo, or both as inspiration for our cards.
I used Calypso Coral and Old Olive from the colours listed, and the stamp from Spotlight on Nature inspired by the flowers and leaves of one of the images from the photo for my card. We were also challenged to use the new Basic Beige in our project.
I created a mask from cardstock the same size as my mat, by cutting 2.5cm (1″) in from all sides to remove a rectangle. Place this over your Basic Beige mat then use a blending brush with Basic Beige ink in this rectangle to give a focal point to anchor your image. Then, stamp the flower image from Spotlight on Nature using Memento Black ink, then colour using Calypso Coral and Old Olive Blends.
Mat this on a piece of Old Olive card stock, then onto a Calypso Coral card base. The greeting is stamped on a strip of Basic Beige. Three Basic Rhinestones were coloured using the dark Calypso Coral blend and placed in a triangle on the card.
I hope the projects you’ve seen here on my blog today have inspired you & brightened your day.

Very pretty. Calypso Coral is one of my favorite colors, especially for flowers.
