Thank you for visiting me at The Stamping Green. Today the Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop team theme is Masculine Birthday. A lot of people find masculine cards harder to make than for females, so I actually ran a Masculine card class last month, and managed to create four cards using four different stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!

This card is actually rather easy to create but I think still is quite effective.
I have taken 0.5cm (1/4″) strips of cardstock to layer across the middle of the card. I have used (from the top down) Cloud Cover, Azure Afternoon, Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy, and Secret Sea. I placed the middle strip (Misty Moonlight) down first across the centre of the card, using my grid paper behind my mat to make sure it was straight. Then it was easy to add the other strips.
From the Sunrise Sailing Bundle, I have die cut the yacht from Crumb Cake (but actually changed this for the class and used Smoky Slate) for the base, then Night of Navy and Azure Afternoon for the sails. To create the two-tone sails, carefully cut the left side off the Azure Afternoon piece and adhere the remainder over the right side of the Night of Navy.
These are adhered using Mini Dimensionals to a white mat then an Azure Afternoon mat, both cut using the Stylish Shapes dies.
The greeting Ahoy is from the Sunrise Sailing stamp set, and even the birds are die cut. A tip here is to use the Adhesive sheets before you die-cut the birds so that you don’t have to fiddle with trying to get glue onto the tiny pieces.

For the inside, I have created the smallest yacht using the same technique as the one on the front and adhered it flat.
Thanks for visiting me. Now it’s time to hop around to see what everyone else has done for their masculine birthday cards.
Happy crafting
