Chain card swap Series 5 – following Cheryl’s card

Handmade triple Z-fold card in pink

Colourful banner with the words Card Swap Chain and a linked chain under the words

If you haven’t seen our chain card swap blog hops before, Tracy Held decided to organise a group of Australian Stampin’ Up! demonstrators for a fun card swap idea. Each member in the group creates an original card, then sends it on to the next person on their list. They then have to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) this card, then send it on. The sending lists are random, so you are not sending to the same person each time. Once the card has been to everyone, it goes back to the designer – who may not even recognise it as their own design!

Once the round is completely finished, we can blog about the cards, with each blog hop following one of the cards from the original design to what was sent back to the designer.  This is the fifth series we have completed – I love the challenge of making each design my own!

For our seventh blog hop for this series, we are following Cheryl’s card. I was the fourth in this round. To see the progression of each card, I suggest you start at the top of the list of links below my post (if you haven’t already).

I used the Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper (DSP) on a base of Bubblebath card stock. This card is a triple Z-fold card, which might look complicated but is rather easy once you know how it goes together (sorry about the quality of the photo – my lightbox is playing up).

It even folds flat for posting!

I have used the dies from the Pretty Florals set to create my flower, from Bubblebath and Fresh Freesia cardstocks. The leaves have been cut from Garden Green. The two mats behind are from the Nested Essentials die set, cut from Fresh Freesia and Basic White.

The sentiment is from the Simply Said stamp set (sadly now on the Last Chance list).

Please continue to hop on through the rest of the blogs to see what the rest of the team have done with this design.

  1. Hi Sharni
I loved your card and I followed all the way through to the end. Such a fun idea and I love this card you made. I am wondering if anyone would direct me to the measurements for this card. I love Z Fold cards but have never seen this before!!! Just beautiful each and every card interpretation. Looking forward to checking out the next swap! Have fun and be blessed. CaroleAnn
