Chain card swap following MY card

Welcome to the tenth in a series of blog hops for our Chain Card Swap.

A group of Australian Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators formed a group late last year to create cards and swap them in a process like a chain letter (although I’ve called it Chinese Whispers cards). The first card in each sequence is an original idea. For this blog hop, it was my turn to create the first card and post it to the next in the list, then that person CASEd (Copy And Selectively Edit) it and mailed her card to the next person on the list. This person then cased that card … and so on!

I used the Circle Sayings stamp set for the focal point of my card, using my Blends to colour the cake and patty pan. I also used Wink of Stella on the icing. The design is one I have from a card sketch. I wasn’t sure what degree of difficulty we should be putting into our original card so tried to keep it fairly simple.

I was very surprised by the card that came back to me at the end of the series – the only thing that stayed the same was the landscape orientation! Take a look through the chain to see how this happened.

Now it’s your turn to CASE my card
