This month, the challenge from the Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop team is Bling It Up!

I was away at a craft retreat with a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators when I was working on my card. We had a bit of a discussion about what qualifies as ‘Bling It Up’ – some saying it meant lots of embellishments; others saying lots of shine, so I’ve gone with the second, using lots of gold based products.

The Layers of Beauty bundle, which has a stamp set, masks and dies, was used to create my feature image. I stamped the large floral image with Versamark, then used gold embossing powder, and heated it to set the powder. I then die cut this image, and die cut three leafy pieces from gold foil.

A piece of paper from the Regal Distressed Patterns Specialty DSP was used for my mat, with two thin strips of gold foil along the long edges, on a card base of Thick White cardstock. The floral image was attached using mini dimensionals then I tucked the three gold leafy pieces into place.

The greeting is from the Simply Said stamp set, heat embossed in gold and layered onto a piece of gold foil. I’ve finished it off with five embellishments from the Adhesive backed metallic gems pack. I have also used Wink of Stella on the petals of the flowers for even more shine!
