Vertical easel cards

Vertical Easel card featuring Bottled Happiness stamp set, and Abigail Rose DSP

This month’s class was all about creating Vertical Easel cards. I saw this style on Splitcoast Stampers and decided to give it a go. The trick is in attaching the floating panel to the front of the card so it floats freely.

The first card features the Bottled Happiness stamp set. I stamped the bottle in Crumb Cake to match with the papers from the Abigail Rose DSP, then the flowers are in Polished Pink and the leaves in Old Olive, on mats of Polished Pink, and a base of Early Espresso. The prop to hold the card in place was made by adhering three layers of cardstock cut from the decorative die in the Palm dies. I finished off the card with a bow tied from Crinkled seam binding ribbon and three rhinestones on the flowers.

The second card features the Sending Smiles stamp set. I have used some of the new in Colours in this card – Sweet Sorbet for the flowers, and Parakeet Party for the leaves. The DSP I used is a Starry Sky sheet from the In Colour DSP pack, mounted on a Parakeet Party mat. The three smaller flowers are popped up on mini Dimensionals to hold the easel in place.
